Sanjay Dutt On #MeToo Accusations Against Rajkumar Hirani: I Don’t Believe In Those Allegations
It was in January that filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani was accused of sexual harassment by a woman who worked as an Assistant Director with him on the movie, Sanju. She stated that the director sexually assaulted her over a period of 6 months between March and September 2018. She even claimed that he harassed her during post-production of the film. While, Mr Hirani denied the allegations, several people slammed the filmmaker on social media for the same.

Now, after all these months, Sanjay Dutt has spoken up on these serious charges leveled against the filmmaker of Munnabhai series. In an interview with Rajeev Masand, Sanjay Dutt was quizzed about the update on Munnabhai 3 and if at all the movie will happen considering the controversy surrounding Mr Hirani. Dutt started off by saying, "I don't have any idea, what's happening with Munna Bhai. Last, when I met Raju, he said, '110 per cent it's happening' and Vinod ji also said that. But, I think they'll make it when they'll feel the time is right and when they'll have a script ready."

Further, speaking on the #MeToo accusations, the actor said, “I don't believe in those allegations against Raju, firstly. I have worked with him in so many films that means so many years. And I don't know why that lady is putting these allegations because it doesn't make sense to anyone of us. And if you have some allegations then file an FIR do something like that. But, Raju Hirani with those kind of allegations, I don't think.”

On the work front, Sanjay Dutt will be seen in Abhishek Varman’s Kalank next that is slated to release on April 17, this year.
